JOBURGers, pull out your pinkest gear and get ready to hit the pavement! Rosebank Mall‘s famous 5km Pink Run is back, and this year it is bigger, brighter, and bolder than ever before.

What started as a modest gathering of 900 runners back in 2023 has exploded into one of the city’s favourite community traditions. Now, organizers are calling on the whole of Joburg to paint the streets pink on Saturday, 24 October 2026 at 7am.

Big Goals for a Big Cause

After pulling in an impressive 3 100 participants and raising R66 000 for CANSA last year, Rosebank Mall is raising the bar for 2026.

This year, the goal is to cross the finish line with:

• 3 500 participants (that’s 400 more runners than last year!)
• R100 000 raised for non-profit breast health organization I Love Boobies

Every ticket sold directly contributes to helping I Love Boobies provide crucial breast cancer screenings, education, and early detection support for women across South Africa.

A Cause That Touches Every Family

For Rosebank Mall, the run isn’t just about fitness, it’s about standing in solidarity with families impacted by breast cancer and keeping the conversation alive.

“We have watched this grow from around 900 people in 2023 into an event that 3 100 people supported last year, and that says a great deal about the generosity of our community,” says Angelisa Gengan, Marketing Manager of Rosebank Mall.

“Seeing so many people arrive in pink, ready to take part and support the cause, is what makes this event so special to us. This year the goal is to build on that support and raise R100 000 for I Love Boobies.”
