The 4th Annual Walking & Dancing Out of Cancer event, hosted by Nomsa Manaka Dance Beat, will take place on 26 and 27 October 2024 at the Soweto Theatre. This purpose-driven festival aims to celebrate the resilience of cancer survivors across South Africa. Nomsa Manaka, a cancer survivor herself, has created a platform to use dance and music as a form of storytelling, sharing her journey through cancer and the challenges she faced along the way.
The event will raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Foundation SA (CHOC) and aims to inspire those still battling cancer while celebrating survivors. It will feature a 5km/10km walk around Soweto, followed by a family-friendly music and dance concert.
This activity will be followed by a dance and music day-time concert suitable for families, and features some of South Africa’s finest artists:
