BYD Auto South Africa isn’t slowing down. Fresh off the successful launch of the BYD ATTO 8, the brand is already lining up its next move and South African drivers won’t have long to wait. On 10 and 11 June 2026, BYD will officially pull back the curtain on the all-new ATTO 2 DM-i, the latest addition to its fast-growing local line-up and the clearest signal yet that the brand is serious about owning a significant slice of South Africa’s new energy vehicle market.

While the full details remain under wraps until launch, BYD can reveal that the ATTO 2 DM-i will feature the brand’s advanced DM-i plug-in hybrid technology, delivering an intelligent blend of electric driving and long-distance convenience. The vehicle will also incorporate BYD’s acclaimed Blade Battery technology, which has become synonymous with safety, innovation and performance across the brand’s global portfolio.

The arrival of the ATTO 2 DM-i further reinforces BYD’s commitment to providing South African motorists with practical, technologically advanced mobility solutions that meet the evolving needs of modern drivers.
