Italian fashion house Diesel and its South African brand ambassador, Amapiano star Daliwonga, have expanded their ongoing partnership with the release of an exclusive 10-piece capsule collection.

The collaboration marks a major milestone in a relationship that began in 2024, when Daliwonga was named Diesel’s ambassador for South Africa. Since then, Daliwonga has become an ongoing presence within Diesel’s local and global universe, attending Diesel runway shows in Milan, fronting local editorial campaigns and performing at the opening of Diesel’s V&A Waterfront store in Cape Town. The capsule builds on this relationship, translating elements of Daliwonga’s distinctive personal style through Diesel’s irreverent design language.

The capsule brings together graphic T-shirts and long-sleeve styles, denim, sweats, outerwear, a cap and the S-D-Ollie Low sneaker. A recurring mouth and grill motif anchors the collection, with vivid graphics ranging from oversized artwork on T-shirts and outerwear to more subtle detailing across denim and sweats. The motif is also revealed beneath the distressed brim of the cap. Daliwonga’s handwritten signature adds a personal touch across apparel and on the S-D-Ollie Low sneaker. Together, these details connect his identity with Diesel’s approach to individuality and self-expression.

The concept also extends beyond print. A custom silver upper grill engraved with Diesel was created specifically for Daliwonga for the campaign, while the S-D-Ollie Low features silver grill-inspired hardware threaded through its laces alongside his signature on the side of the sneaker.

The Diesel x Daliwonga capsule launches on October 9 exclusively at the newly redesigned Diesel Sandton City store in Johannesburg, coinciding with the store’s official opening celebration. The collection will be available from October 10 at Diesel stores across South Africa and online.
