Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio is best for burgers)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated onion
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for grilling
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, grated onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
- Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions, and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, brush the grill grates or skillet with a light coating of vegetable oil.
- Add the patties to the grill or skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired level of doneness.
